Scottish Heritage USA cordially invites our members to visit our tents at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games and Gathering of the Clans at MaCrae’s Meadows near Banner Elk, NC from July 10-12.

Don’t miss the festivities at the tent on Friday and Saturday at 1 pm when Jenn the Haggis Wench and Sam the Piper will deliver haggis to the SHUSA tent, and Peter Wilson will deliver the Address to the Haggis!

Special Activities include:

• Meet historian and board member Bill Caudill and hear stories about treasured items while getting a sneak peek at special pieces from our Scottish Heritage Collection at the Scottish Heritage USA tent daily.
• Learn more about our Feasibility Study for a Scottish Heritage Discovery Center and how you can get involved.
• Join us for a complimentary members-only al fresco lunch behind our tents on Saturday, July 11 at mid-day.
• Meet author and 2024 National Tartan Honoree The Rt. Hon. Viscount Dunrossil, Andrew Morrison, at a signing of his new book The Making of a Scottish Chief on Saturday from 1:30–3:00 pm at our tent.
• Meet National Trust for Scotland USA Foundation Executive Director Kirsten Bridier and Board Chairman Helen Sayles at their partner tent next to ours during the Games, as well as American Scottish Foundation President Camilla Hellman.
• Visit with our Executive Director Susie Thomas, Membership Manager Robin Duff, Board President Peter Wilson, and our engaging volunteers at our tent daily.
